Paul, thank you so much for mentioning our coffee blog and our post on cleaning coffee grinders. You’re right – if you use one of those store grinders, not only are you getting the last bit of (stale) coffee grounds from the last person who used it, but by grinding the coffee at the store, ahead of time, it will likely be stale before arriving home (coffee goes stale within 30 minutes of grinding). 90% of the Co2 that transports the coffee oils are actually released within the first minute of grinding – so grinding at the store is very bad! Great episode, and I didn’t mind the focus on coffee.
